Harmony Apartments

Giorgos gave us useful tips for exploring the island as soon as we arrived, and even had a freshly baked welcome cake for us. He also helped with a hoover and hose so we could give the car a quick clean. Parking was free, and we could use the communal washing machines at no charge, detergent included. The flat had everything we needed, including kitchen accessories and a lovely balcony. We had an amazing stay at Harmony Apartments and would recommend it to anyone visiting Chania. I don't usually write reviews, but this place deserves the praise.

The owner was so kind and always available when we had a question or needed help. He even arranged a rental car for our trip to Elafonisi, and surprised us with a warm, freshly baked cake. It was delicious. We felt very well looked after. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable, there were two balconies with tables and chairs, and the kitchen was fully equipped. We often ate out since the restaurants in Daratsos are amazing. Restaurant Sterna and Taverna Dimitris & Sakis are especially worth trying. The location worked really well for a relaxing beach holiday in Crete. Several lovely beaches are a short walk away, and Chania city is close too. The bus stop is just a three-minute walk, with buses going directly to the city centre. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!

Giorgos was exactly the sort of host we hoped for. He speaks English well, is very friendly and gives lots of good advice. Everything in the apartment and courtyard was spotless, with no sand, dust, mould, ants or other insects. We were welcomed with a large, tasty cake and water and wine in the fridge. Thank you, Giorgos, for our best vacation yet! We stayed on the ground floor in a two-bedroom apartment, and it felt like home in a beautiful spot near the sea. There are four beaches within walking distance, the closest about seven minutes away. We loved Sunset beach for its warm, shallow water and lovely scenery. I hadn't expected to play beach volleyball or beach tennis, but ended up doing it every day. There are lots of courts and places to play. Two large supermarkets are five minutes away, with plenty of restaurants and sandwich places nearby. The bus system was easy to use, especially with help from the internet. The apartment was just like the photos, tastefully decorated, spacious and well equipped. It had two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchenette, comfortable beds and pillows, a big couch, and a large-screen TV. The bathroom had a roomy shower, plenty of amenities and a washing machine, which we used a few times. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking every day. We also made good use of the two balconies, especially the large one, where we played the games provided and watched films on our tablet in the evenings. The building was peaceful too, with no noise disturbing our sleep.

Giorgos deserves a million stars! We were welcomed with homemade cake, which was delicious, plus bottled water, wine, juice, watermelon and homemade marmalade. The apartment was super clean, had great amenities, and even the sofa bed was huge. We also found beach towels and an umbrella. It's in a great spot, around 4 km from Chania old town and only 500 metres from the best beaches around town. Highly recommended!
