Imperium Luxury Villas

The hot tub and sauna downstairs in each villa gave our friends and family a great place to gather, and the pools were excellent on hot days. You can also pay extra to heat them, which is handy for night swims or a winter trip. We had 15 people across both villas for six days, with plenty of space. They could fit up to 20 if two people share each room. The villas at Galatas, also known as Imperium Luxury Villas, were beautiful in person and felt like a five-star resort, with modern amenities and comfortable furniture. The beds were the most comfortable I’ve slept on, and the bedroom blackout shutters made it feel like night even in full sun. Great showers and water pressure, and Evangelia kept us supplied with fresh towels. The setting worked for both relaxing at the villa and heading out. We enjoyed the beaches and restaurants nearby, and Old Town Chania made a good day trip. Bars, coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants are all within walking distance. From the villas, it takes about 30-40 minutes by bus to Old Town Chania. There’s plenty of parking if you rent a car and want to explore other parts of Crete. The villa views over the city and ocean were what first won us over when my wife and I were searching in May 2025 for a place to host our small destination wedding. It turned out to be a perfect venue and stay for us and our guests. Evangelia was the best, most attentive host we’ve had. She was always a quick message away whenever a question or concern came up, and made the whole stay easy. I’m already thinking about when I can plan another trip to Chania. -Tess and John

We had a great villa with everything we needed and more. The views of the mountains and sea were beautiful. Our host was excellent, quick to reply and full of good recommendations.

Evangelia and Yianni made us feel like family and went out of their way to look after us. They shared recommendations and even booked reservations. The location was convenient, and the villa was immaculately clean and well stocked. Our family of seven had such a good time around the spacious pool area, with its lovely loungers, outdoor barbecue and shower, that we almost didn't want to go out. The amenities felt pampering, and no expense seemed spared on the finishes, appliances or linens. We've stayed at five-star properties around the world, and this villa comes close to perfect.

Chania was lovely, with plenty of charm, good food and little streets to explore. The villa made a great base for outings, but was just as good for staying in and unwinding. We had an amazing time as a group. There was room for everyone, the beds were comfortable, and everything we needed had been thought of. The outdoor kitchen was a favourite. We had fantastic evening barbecues, with lots of space to cook, eat and spend time together. The sunset view was stunning, a lovely backdrop for slow days and relaxed nights. The pool was another highlight, and we spent loads of time in and around it. The place was gorgeous, spotless and beautifully decorated, with a luxurious feel that still felt relaxed and welcoming. Evangelia was friendly, kept in touch and made sure we had what we needed. She was helpful and understanding throughout. Couldn't fault it, we'd go back in a heartbeat!
