Sea Queen Villa

We were six people, my wife and me with our four sons, aged 20 to 28. The villa worked really well for us, with five good-sized en-suite bedrooms, making it ideal for a big family or up to five couples. Michael was superb and very helpful. The nearest beach is less than a two-minute walk away, and several reasonably priced restaurants are close by. We especially liked Nannas and Ta Neora in Chania. Synka and Lidl are both large supermarkets within walking distance. Synka is good for fresh fish, though it’s best to get there early. Buses leave from outside the villa every 10 minutes for Chania Town, and our sons enjoyed taking them. We had a hire car for two weeks, but you could get by without one. Most places are walkable, and even Chania harbour is only a 25-minute walk. Sea Queen Villa is modern and very well located, with several beaches nearby. It would be hard to beat.

The villa was wonderful, very clean, and all the rooms were lovely, with each one opening onto the outside. The upstairs room was huge, with a large bathroom and two balconies, and the private garden, pool, and BBQ area made the outdoor space just as good. A few lovely beaches, shops, restaurants, and the bus stop to Chania are all close by, with the bus stopping right outside. Mike met us after our late-night arrival and immediately made us feel welcome. He even drove one of us to a late-night shop and back so we could pick up food and drinks. Some of our group got sick during the stay, and Mike kindly brought us medicine. On our last day, with a late flight home, he arranged somewhere for us to leave our luggage so we didn’t have to carry it around, and he organized transfers to and from the airport. A wonderful villa in a great location, with a marvellous host in Mike.

The location made getting around easy. The bus to Chania old town stops right outside, and supermarkets are a 5 to 10 minute walk away. There’s a good choice of quality restaurants nearby, and you can stroll through the park opposite to reach the picturesque coast and lovely beaches. Sea Queen is beautiful, private, and very spacious inside and out. The fresh decor and five good-sized bedrooms made it feel even bigger than the pictures. The master suite was like a penthouse, with a large shower and jetted bathtub. Outside, there’s a good-sized pool, plenty of loungers and seating, and a large area to relax. The kitchen was great too, with a dishwasher, a roomy fridge-freezer, and a wine chiller. Michael was available to contact, made us feel at home, and arranged airport transfers. Booking was easy and he gave us a warm welcome. We really enjoyed our stay. For Chania, it’s hard to beat the value for the location and luxury.

The outdoor area is fully private and kept immaculate, with plenty of sunbeds for everyone. The whole villa was even better in person than the photos suggest. We had four adults and two children and more than enough room. All the rooms and bathrooms are finished to a high standard, and the top-floor master bedroom is stunning, with two huge balconies. Mike met us at check-in, showed us around, answered our questions promptly, and made us feel very welcome. The villa has everything you need, with local restaurants and bars an easy walk away, two well-stocked supermarkets about 5 minutes away, and very clean beaches close by. We’ve just come back from an amazing holiday at sea queen villa, and I can’t recommend it enough. We’ll definitely return.
