Katerina View Mykonos

The lack of help from the owner made an already poor experience much worse. When we contacted them about the Wi-Fi, they stopped replying, and we got no support. The listing said Wi-Fi was available, but it didn’t work at all. With the villa so remote and no mobile data either, we were completely cut off. Getting there was difficult too. The villa is about a 20-minute walk from Mykonos town, but it’s a steep downhill hike going there and an exhausting uphill climb back. I was pregnant, which made it especially difficult. A trip into the main area cost around 40 euros one way. The villa overlooks a dusty parking lot, and reaching it means walking along a dirt path and crossing a busy street with no sidewalk or crosswalks. Inside, there was no soundproofing. We heard everything from the neighboring rooms, and the water system made loud mechanical noises whenever anyone used it. We could barely sleep. The place looks nothing like the online listing. It was remote, dusty, noisy, and not cared for. The owner’s lack of honesty and support made it worse, and we felt scammed. Save yourself the stress and book somewhere else.

The place has a cute traditional Greek style, and the staff were helpful. Our room was very spacious and modern, with a great shower in the bathroom and AC that worked very well. The walk to town is steep but doesn’t take too long. I’d happily come back and highly recommend it to other travellers. Don’t let any negative reviews put you off.

The people working at Katerina View were friendly and very helpful. It’s a nice place in a great location that really makes things easier. I totally recommend it and would choose it again if I visit Mykonos. Looking forward to next time!

Katerina made our summer holiday in Mykonos easy, with a well-located apartment near the city centre and daily cleaning. It had all the equipment we needed, and she was friendly and easygoing. We especially liked the pickup service she provided to and from the airport. I’d definitely stay at her place on a possible return trip to this magic island.
