1-bed Apt at Hotel, Near Perivolos Black Beach

The staff were a real part of what made the stay enjoyable. They were friendly, attentive, and happy to help with requests. Appreciate Mrs Litsa, Chef Mr Alex, and the whole team. The pool was clean and inviting, with a lovely setting and plenty of loungers. I also enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant, with tasty dishes for different tastes, and the breakfast buffet had a wide range of fresh food. My room was spacious, clean, well-appointed, and comfortable, with a particularly good bed. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.

We had a brilliant 11 days here with a group of 15 for our daughter's wedding. The hotel was spotless, the pool was great for the kids, and the beach and several restaurants were only five minutes away. All our meals at the hotel were tasty and well cooked, and breakfast was buffet style with hot and cold choices. The staff were so warm, helpful, and accommodating. Lina, the owner and manager, arranged day trips for us and was a perfect host. Lina, Alex, Constantine, we’re already missing you. Would we stay again? No-brainer, yes!

Hotel Bella Santorini is advertised as a four-star property, but that is clearly misleading. In my view, it is a three-star hotel. The hotel needs major renovation. Many of the light fittings were loose and roughly painted. The bathroom door was badly damaged by water and could not be closed while using the bathroom. The shower head was extremely wobbly, and I worried it might fall off. The pool was a letdown and, frankly, dangerous. Many pool tiles were missing and had been swept to the side, so we had to be careful that nobody cut themselves. Some sun loungers were torn, and there weren't enough for a hotel with more than 12 guests. There was no way to get shade because the sunshades were fixed to the floor and provided none. The website mentions a jacuzzi by the pool, but there isn't one. Breakfast was very disappointing. Every day of our week at Bella Santorini, it was the same. None of the food was labeled, so we couldn't tell what it was, and it was left uncovered, attracting flies. The selection was very poor and not what I would expect from a four-star hotel. Most of the food was cold, and the hot food was uncovered and rarely replenished. We were travelling with someone who has a nut allergy, so not knowing whether the food contained nuts was extremely dangerous. The hotel room felt soulless, and the website photos and description were utterly misleading. It says every room has a bath, but neither of the two rooms we had did. It also says all rooms come with tea and coffee, but none was provided during our week-long stay. The website also says every room has a safety deposit box. That was true, but the key to one room's box had been lost, so we couldn't use it. The room wasn't cleaned every day. When we pointed this out to reception, they only gave us clean towels. We also asked several times for shampoo, but it was never delivered. The website says every room has a minibar, but there was only a fridge. There was no internet access unless you were by the pool, and we couldn't connect to Wi-Fi in the rooms. When we raised our concerns about the pool, the staff said the children pick off the tiles, but this is clearly neglect. Staff said they had upgraded one room to a sea-view room, but the view was almost entirely blocked by a building. You would need binoculars to see the sea.

Highly recommended! We had a wonderful stay at Bella Santorini Hotel. Our room was clean, well furnished, and very comfortable. The hotel is right beside the black beach at Perivolos, and it was easy to reach any city by car. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, and gave us great advice. We would definitely return!
