Likhithos village is a 1-star “hotel”: no air conditioning, cold water, bugs, and ants. It felt like everything had to be paid in cash, cash, cash, as if to avoid government taxation. The food seemed to be frozen items from Lidl, reheated until lukewarm and served. The place was full, but people used the pool as a toilet because the downstairs toilets had bugs and only cold water. The floors there were dirty and wet, so people used the pool like a bathtub. We arrived late at night and were greeted with a hotel bill in cash, of course. Our room had dirty floors and trails of ants along the bed and in the bathroom. The air conditioning cost an additional 50 euros in cash for six days. The room was unbearably hot, like a sauna, so we had to rent the AC because we're older and can't tolerate that heat. I've traveled around the world, and at 65 I've never been charged separately for air conditioning before. I reported the ants. A woman came and sprayed RAID directly on the mass of them. The force sent ants, dust, hairs, and whatever else was on the floor flying into the air and all over the place. The woman left the spray can outside our room as the solution. She said the ants weren't dangerous and just wanted to be friends. I don't mind making friends with ants, but maybe not in my hotel room? The “kitchen” had a sandwich toaster, the kind with two sides like a waffle maker, with someone else's old cheese still burned along the edges. The cutlery was greasy, and there was no dish soap or brush to clean it, and no hot water either. There was just one light bulb on the wall for the whole apartment. The kitchen was completely dark, and we had to use the refrigerator light to find anything. There was a miniature kettle and a single-cup coffee machine. Water ran constantly in the bathroom, and the toilet lid was on the floor because the toilet was broken. It needed fixing to work and to stop the water. My husband fixed it, since there was no telephone to call reception. Maybe you get lucky and have a working toilet. There was no soap anywhere, as if nobody needs warm water and soap after using the toilet. Showers were cold, with no hot water. We paid for seven days but stayed six, and the hotel profited from that. On our departure day, we were picked up late, at 7:30 in the evening, but the owner wanted everyone checked out by 11 in the morning. When I asked if we could delay checkout, the old woman refused unless I paid another 30 euros in cash, which would let us stay only until 4 in the afternoon. It felt like we were overcharged. Before going home we had to use the pool toilet downstairs by reception to shower. There was wet, cold, dirty water everywhere, and only cold water in the only two showers, which men and women had to share without a changing room. During my last brutally cold shower, a cockroach trapped in the shower room tried to get out of the drain, crawled up my leg, and I yelled, but no one cared. I flicked it back onto the floor and tried to rinse myself while it swam toward me again in the dirty water.

The service was good, and the hotel has attractive outdoor spaces, spacious apartments with balconies, and a great location near the beach in peaceful surroundings. I might come back, but cleanliness needs to improve. Room cleaning was poor, with lots of dust and an ant problem. The bathroom drain and toilet also had recurring issues.

I've never had better accommodation with a travel agency. The rooms were large, clean, and had lovely balconies. The owners were very friendly and kind, and the breakfasts and dinners were absolutely perfect, with lots to choose from: salads, vegetables, meats, pasta, and good wine too. Beaches were a little difficult, but there were plenty of pools and large spaces with beds and umbrellas.

We were there as a family of three in mid-June. There are several swimming pools, from baby pools to adult ones, and the location is nice. The Greek nights with live traditional music and dancing were really good, and the hospitality was very warm. All the staff were lovely. Special thanks to Fationa, Sofia, Kostas, and the owner Angelika for making our vacation better. Thank you 🙏

The location is peaceful and convenient, though outside the village center, so renting a car is the best way to go sightseeing. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and well maintained, including the pools and outdoor areas. Our room had two levels, but the stairs were a bit dangerous and not suitable for small kids under six. Breakfast had a good range of food, and there were enough sunbeds for everyone. Dinner was from an à la carte menu, with a salad bar available.
