Hotel Plaza

We planned to spend just one night here and ended up staying three. The operator was wonderful and shared helpful local knowledge. The room was good for budget lodging and faced Kalamata beach, with a great swimming beach just across the street and excellent tavernas only steps away. I’d highly recommend it, and if I return to Kalamata, I’ll stay here again.

It’s hard to get closer to the water, and the hotel sits right in the middle of the beachfront, so you can walk to whatever you need. The sea-view rooms are simple and clean, and the prices are the best around. What stood out most was the kind, accommodating staff, who were always ready to make an extra effort. It’s a lovely family-run hotel where you feel looked after.

Pet friendly, which matters most to us! The hotel is right on the seafront, about 20 m from the beach, with cafés and restaurants close enough to walk to. Rooms are on the small side but perfectly adequate and very clean. The staff are excellent, friendly, and helpful.

There’s a beach right in front, and several restaurants nearby. The building is a little old, though it’s been renovated recently. The staff were very friendly and did their best to help us, and breakfast was good. I’d definitely recommend it if you want to be near the city center.
