Studio Holiday Kalamata

The bed and shower were the best we had on our trip. The studio was new, modern and in a nice house, with a sea view. The area was very quiet, with large shaded parking right at the house. It had the kitchen basics and a relaxing terrace for a drink in the evening or breakfast in the morning. Lidl is a five-minute drive along the main road, and there’s a small pebble beach nearby. The road is steep, but manageable, so don’t be put off. Follow the GPS until you see the big sign at the entrance. The hosts aren’t fluent in English, but they were welcoming and helpful and managed to translate easily. There are several studios in different sizes and with different views. We chose the cheapest one, which was perfect for our last night, with the airport no more than 20 minutes away. We had dinner at the AGRILA tavern just above, a five-minute walk or two-minute drive with parking. The sunset view was incredible, the staff were friendly, the prices reasonable, and they gave us a drink on the way out.

The owners were nice, the studio was pretty and very clean, and there was ample parking. It was easy to find and had the basics well equipped. We stayed for just two nights, but it would work fine for a longer visit too. The only downside is that walking to the beach or restaurants along the main road isn’t very pleasant. It’s fine if you’re planning to drive around the area.

These holiday apartments come in different sizes and are well looked after. It’s a quiet area, and the place was clean and presentable, much better than a lot of the old, dated accommodation in Greece. The managers and owners were friendly.

We felt relaxed staying here. The rooms were very clean, and the lovely owners cleaned them while we were out for the day and left us little food gifts. The house is split into two or three other lets, but it still feels quite private.
