Bellissimo Resort

If you’re looking for vegan food, the choices are limited. The hotel is near one of the many beaches, though it’s some distance from the main activity center; there’s a bus stop close by for getting around. It’s a small hotel in a traditional style, with friendly staff and very nice rooms that have all the facilities you need.

We’ve just finished a wonderful 10-night stay, our first visit, and we weren’t disappointed. The family-run place is relaxing and quiet, though there’s road noise that you get used to. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Irene is the bar queen 🍹🍻☕️. Our room was spotless and cleaned to a high standard every day. Breakfast had lots of choice and ran until 11, and the pool area was chilled, with really comfy daybeds. Thanks for such a lovely holiday on your beautiful island. We’ll definitely be back 💛🙌

Getting into town was easy, and the bus costs just €1.80; it runs reliably all day into late evening and takes around 20 minutes to reach the center. There’s a supermarket and ATM only a few steps away, too. The hotel was a hit with us: everyone was courteous and helpful, the rooms were extremely clean, and the pool was nice and tidy. Breakfast was included and delicious, and dinner from the à la carte menu was great. We loved the restaurant, especially bartender Irene, who we looked forward to seeing each evening.

We’d visited Mykonos once on a Mediterranean cruise and had always said we’d return for a proper holiday. Last July we booked for late September 2022, looked at several places in our price range, and finally chose Bellissimo Resort. It’s about a 15-minute drive from the airport, so check-in was quick after we arrived. This is a family-run place, and the welcome was warm. There are 16 rooms, eight downstairs and eight above with balconies. The ground-floor rooms have their own outdoor space and are right by the pool. Our room was spacious and distinctive, with plenty of cupboard room, a comfortable large bed, a fridge, and a coffee and tea area with a Nespresso machine and complimentary pods. The bathroom was funky and had what we needed. There were plenty of pool beds for 16 rooms, including big double beds, and we often had the saltwater pool almost to ourselves. It’s not huge, but it was quite adequate. Behind the sunbeds is a lovely restaurant and bar. At the other end, there’s a convenience shop and a bus stop. Buses to town run about every 30 minutes and cost €1.80 each way. We enjoyed the drinks and thought the food was very good; the restaurant was popular in the evenings, and it was great having it less than 20 minutes from our room. The staff made us feel very welcome, especially Irene, who makes a very good frozen strawberry daiquiri ❤️. We thought the place was fantastic, so we’re delighted to be returning in two days.
