Ubud Mykonos

Kosta at reception was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, and the hotel has an outstanding view. It could make for an unforgettable stay with a better team at the bar and restaurant. Breakfast service was a real letdown: the service staff seemed uninterested in making guests comfortable, worked very slowly, and didn’t remember orders. Omelettes or scrambled eggs could take 30-40 minutes, and once an order for eggs was forgotten without an apology. One server barely said hello. The barman was also very slow, didn’t know which wines were available, and seemed uninterested in the job. With such a spectacular sunset view, it still didn’t feel inviting to have a cocktail or wine there. It’s a nice boutique hotel, though the walk up from the main road is a little too long and very steep.

A few staff members did try their best: the gentleman at reception was polite and professional, and the bar staff were kind. Still, I wouldn’t return or recommend the place because the overall service felt unprofessional. The female manager at reception was unhelpful and didn’t seem able to run a hotel to the standard you’d expect on Mykonos. Staff training is urgently needed. We chose this hotel because it was on the opposite side of the island, but that turned out to be a mistake because it’s isolated. We arrived early and couldn’t check in, so we sat by the pool and tried to order food. Much of the menu wasn’t available, including pasta, a club sandwich, and quinoa salad, which was frustrating with so few options nearby. Once we got into the room, the shower clogged as soon as we used it and flooded, with water spilling into the bedroom. The room phone didn’t work, so we had to go downstairs to report it. The manager said she’d call a plumber, who would have to come from the center, but nobody came for 30 minutes. We returned to complain, and only then did they send someone. They blamed previous guests without inspecting the problem, which felt dismissive. The cleaning staff sent to deal with it weren’t trained or polite, and even left the room key in the door outside after cleaning. We went into the city with no plumber having arrived. By evening the shower was fixed, but the sink still leaked.

We came for a few days of our honeymoon and had a really pleasant, luxurious stay. The hotel is comfortable and clean, with great Wi-Fi. Food and drinks were delicious, amenities were amazing, and service was spectacular. The staff and cleaning crew were kind and attentive, and Emilia and Marlene made the stay especially memorable. It’s close enough by car to the trendy beaches and clubs, while still feeling peaceful, with lovely sea views. The road didn’t seem bad to us, just a paved, narrow street with hills and curves, like roads throughout Mykonos. Some other reviews complain about things that, honestly, weren’t significant to us.

Being a little away from the island’s busy areas made for a peaceful, relaxing stay, and the sunset spot was incredible. We hired quad bikes to explore more easily, which the hotel and Angilos at the front desk helped us arrange through a local company. Marialena at reception gave us such a warm welcome and made our holiday feel off to a great start. Aimily also deserves a special mention: always around with a smile and ready to help. The staff were friendly, attentive, and eager to assist throughout. I’d highly recommend it for a quiet, comfortable stay where you’re well looked after.
