Good evening. About 10 days ago, my family and I went on holiday to Lemnos. Strong Beaufort winds led to a ban on ferries departing from the port of Piraeus, so the Lemnos sailing times changed and we were told about the delay. Close friends of ours were staying with their children at this accommodation. They had a large place and suggested we spend 2 hours there with our children, aged 3 and 6, since our departure from the island would be late at night and we had already left our own accommodation as planned. When we arrived with our friends, the owner showed her displeasure in the courtyard that we were coming in with them. A minute later she rang the bell and told us to leave immediately because the accommodation’s rental rules weren’t being followed. We weren’t going to stay overnight, and had no intention of doing so, since we were leaving the island a few hours later. With the children there, she complained about similar personal incidents involving other people in the past, stressed that the rental rules were being broken, and said she was worried our family might use the shower and cause a problem with the accommodation’s sewage system. I tried to explain the delays to the ship schedules, which aren’t regular, and that we wouldn’t be staying there as a family, but she wasn’t open to a conversation. Five minutes after the incident, we all left the accommodation. After this, I would never choose to stay there and won’t recommend it to people I know.
