Maria, the owner, was really friendly and helpful. The hotel is comfortable and clean, with modern bathrooms and an AC unit in every room. It’s less than a five-minute walk from the town center. We loved staying at the Maria Elena.

This old neoclassical building has small rooms, but they’re spotless and have little balconies overlooking the Ikarian Sea. Each room also has AC, WiFi, a flat-screen TV and computers. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. It’s handy for the port and the village shops, and the prices are very fair.
