Eolos Apartments

I really like this place.

Dimitra at reception was so helpful. The room was spotless and nicely kept, and everything about our stay was wonderful.

I gave one star, and even that feels generous. We paid 152 euros a night for a filthy room covered in dust and hair, after already paying a 200 euro deposit. There were gray marks on the toilet lid, the bleached towels and sheets had little red and brown spots, the balcony chair was broken, and so was the clothesline. They knew we were a family with three children, yet the kitchen outlet was loose enough to give anyone who touched it an electric shock. Water dripped from the air conditioner by the entrance, and the children slipped there. We had to stay one night because we'd travelled a long way, then left the next day and lost the 200 euro deposit. Before we left, a young girl called and said she was the accommodation manager, asking us to pay the rest. I told her what had gone wrong, and she replied, "Why didn't you tell me to clean it?" It should have been clean when we arrived. The owner was nowhere to be found and never called, even after we complained.

We found the apartment simple but practical, with the things we needed: a kitchenette with a fridge, pans, dishes, cutlery and glasses, a comfortable bed, and a sofa that could serve as an extra option. The free air conditioning was a big help at night and during the hottest part of the day. Cleaning and fresh towels came every two days, right on schedule. I also liked the island map by the entrance, a small detail you can't take for granted. The shower curtain was my one personal niggle, but it wasn't a problem. The location worked really well for getting around Agios Nikitas, near the junction of the island's two main roads and close to beaches like Milos and Kathisma. GreenMotion car and scooter rentals are available through the property. The woman who greeted us was very kind, and there was private parking. ATMs, a well-stocked market and several restaurants were close by. I'd recommend it to anyone staying in the area.
