Nefeli Hotel

A lovely hotel just a few minutes on foot from the village’s beautiful beach. The rooms are very clean, with new, good quality furniture and comfortable mattresses. The hosts are kind, care about their guests and are always ready to help. Definitely recommend it!

I was travelling alone and felt at home at this nice family hotel among the pine forest and olive trees. The team, Gorgia, her husband and their son Andrea at reception, were great. Vasili was especially helpful, always friendly and full of local tips. I’d love to come back. The rooms are small, but have nice balconies where you can partly see the beach. They were cleaned daily and had fresh towels. The shower seals could use replacing. Breakfast could do with more variety. I missed Feta cheese because I can’t have cow’s milk, and almond milk and more fresh fruit would be nice.

The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable, though the AC system was odd. Nefeli is a small hotel, and staying there felt like an authentic Greek experience. It’s in Agios Nikitas, probably the best village in Lefkada, with its own beach. You can also walk to Milos Beach or take a boat for 4€. The family business has a few downsides, and breakfast is one of them. For 4€, it’s a joke: filter coffee, processed meat and very few vegetables. When I checked in, they said the kid ate free, but then charged me at checkout. I didn’t argue. Across the street you can get decent coffee, and an Italian girl has a pastry shop up the street. The hotel across the road has a pool that you can use for a small fee. A few small improvements would make a big difference.

We only stayed one night in late September, but the hosts made us feel like part of the family. The lobby’s soft music was so relaxing, and the room had everything we needed. We enjoyed our little balcony overlooking the pedestrian area, as well as the garden terrace. It’s right on the main path to the beach, shops and taverns. We’ll stay here again next time we come to Lefkada. :)
