The staff were caring without getting in the way, gave us useful local tips and welcomed us with free bottles of water. We had a lovely two-week stay at Creta hotel and would gladly book again. The hotel was generally quiet at night, though I imagine that depends on how considerate the other guests are. It’s up a hill with stairs, as you’d expect in Agios Nikolaos, but the view is fantastic, and two beaches, restaurants and shops are close by. Our ground-floor room still had a sea view from the balcony. The kitchenette had a two-hob electric cooker, kettle, microwave, fridge, crockery, pans and pots, enough for breakfast and simple meals. The room, bathroom, beds and sheets were clean and comfortable enough. The sheets were the right size too, despite one reviewer’s complaint. Air conditioning is available for an extra charge, as seems common at hotels in Crete. Budget for it if you’re visiting in hot weather, since it makes sleeping much more comfortable. Thank you!

The owner was friendly and helpful, and our room was lovely with a sea view, comfortable beds and a small kitchenette. It’s a great little self-catering place, just a few minutes from the beach, town and bus stop. There are steps whichever way you go because it’s on a hill. Highly recommend.

The staff were very friendly, and the location made it easy to explore the surrounding area. It’s about a five-minute walk to the center of Agios Nikolaos, the harbour and the lake, with two lovely little beaches nearby for a swim in calm water. Our room had a nice sea view. The hotel is simple, and the kitchenette has a few pans, frying pans and utensils, enough for a basic meal. You’ll need to bring your own washing-up supplies. Parking is the main drawback if you have a car. There are very few spaces outside, and though we managed to park there twice, once we had to use the nearby harbour car park, only a one-minute walk away. A good choice for a short stay in Agios Nikolaos.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was both convenient and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were basic kitchen supplies and a lovely balcony with incredible views. I’d recommend it!
