Havania Apartments has earned its strong ratings over the years. We stayed four nights in April 2025 and found the apartment very well placed for visiting town, nearby Elounda, and even the Lasithi-plateau if you have a rental car. Our two-person room had recently been renovated, and both the kitchen and kitchenware were brand new. The view from our seaside room was fantastic, especially at sunrise. Those rooms look over the pool and terrace, so they might get a little noisy in high season when guests are enjoying themselves in the evening.

Thank you for such a lovely time in Agios Nikolaos. The apartments are beautiful, with magnificent views, and come in sizes for 2 to 5 people. The family who runs the place is friendly and passionate, and they do a great job with the food and service. You can also arrange a car rental there. They’ve worked with the same rental company for 20 years, so it’s all easy to organize.

The snorkeling was unforgettable. Havinia Appartement has a unique pontoon and great opportunities to explore the underwater world. Its location and scenery are fantastic, and the views are breathtaking. The hotel has a pleasant, charming atmosphere that made us feel at home. Our room was clean, spacious, and well appointed, with everything we needed to relax. Breakfast is well worth having, with a delicious spread of fresh, locally sourced food each morning. The friendly staff made sure we had what we needed to get ready for the day. The family running the hotel are outstanding and exceptionally service-minded. Special thanks to Kelly, Patricia, and George for their warmth and hospitality. It’s a memorable place to stay, with stunning natural beauty.

The food was pretty good, though not exceptional, and I would have liked more Greek choices. Luckily, there’s an excellent Taverna a short walk down the road. Agios Nikilaos is about a 30-minute walk away, or an 8 Euro taxi ride. This was our first stay, and it’s been fabulous. The setting right by the sea is breathtaking, with amazing sea views from all the apartments. The rooms are spotless and cleaned every day, and the pool is excellent. It’s also great to swim in the sea from the pontoon. I’d highly recommend the hotel.

We stayed for 10 days starting 8th june 2019, and felt right at home. The family running the business looked after us and helped with whatever we needed. The hotel was clean and tidy, with amazing views. George even took us out on his boat to see the sea life nearby. The food was amazing, and they went out of their way to cook for my vegetarian partner. There’s a beach close by, and you can also swim or snorkel from the hotel’s own pontoon. We’ll be back.
