Minos Palace Resort Adults Only

After more than 30 years and over four months spent exploring Greece, we can say the location and views at Minos Palace in Agios Nikolaos are the best we’ve experienced there. We’ve stayed at plenty of five-star resorts, and it’s hard to think of a better trip. The staff cared so much and made us feel like family. For dinner, we especially recommend Mom or Amar. The cuisine was world class, and Katerina and her team gave world class service. Aggeliki, the Operations Manager, deserves a shout out too. She’ll do anything to make your holiday exceed expectations, and her name is easy to spell, hard to pronounce, haha. The staff made us feel truly welcome, and their care was what stood out most. We celebrated a birthday during our stay, and the attention they gave it left us speechless. You could tell they wanted every guest to feel valued and have a memorable visit. Everything else was outstanding too. The hotel was spotless, our room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the food was delicious with plenty of variety. The atmosphere and quality were excellent from start to finish. One of the best hotel stays we’ve had. We’d happily recommend it and will definitely come back.

The beach was pristine, though getting a sunbed could be competitive. The grounds are stunning, and the staff were kind and attentive. Food at the restaurants was wonderful. The spa felt so peaceful because they keep the number of people low. Angelo gave me the best massage I’ve ever had, ask for him!

I came hoping to catch up on sleep and have some quiet away from the anxiety and alarms at home. The hotel itself is beautiful, with calming interiors, fragrant gardens, and lovely sunrise and sunset views. The pool is small but sufficient, and there were plenty of sunbeds for a secluded rest. Unfortunately, noise from other guests disrupted the peace. The walls and ceilings seemed thin, and neighbors played loud music morning and night, so I didn’t sleep well before my flight. I also found the restaurant staff’s attention to drink sales and small talk stressful as an introvert. The twice-a-day cleaning felt unnecessary, so I skipped the evening visit.
