Mirabella Apartments

The swimming pool is nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The apartments, though, are basic and need repairs and updating. The bathroom felt really depressing, and the place is tatty and needs work. There’s a small cooker, coffee machine, and fridge, but no kitchen-side space to prepare a meal. The sink area slopes, so water from the drying rack runs toward the electrical appliances, which annoyed me. Parking is badly needed on site. The current spaces are across a busy road, around a corner, and twice we nearly had cars speeding around it hit us. See photos.

A peaceful week by the sea would suit this place well. The price is okay, the bar stays open all day, and the staff are kind and helpful. Each apartment has its own view of the gulf, plus a small pebble beach nearby. There’s dedicated parking opposite the building. You’re only two minutes from town by car, or about a 15-minute walk. The apartments have coffee machines, dishes, pots, and everything needed, and they’re cleaned every two days. A very nice place to stay.

Our apartment had a lovely view across the Cretan mountains and the Med. It was simple, very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a good holiday. Havania beach is just a minute away on foot. It’s rocky, but does the job. For soft sand, beautiful Almyros beach is a 12-minute drive, and you can also take a bus or taxi. The staff were lovely and helpful.

This is a nice family hotel if you want a fair price and a comfortable place to stay without expecting polished luxury. The rooms are clean and spacious, as are the bathrooms, though nothing fancy. Staff are really kind. There’s a small pool with a jacuzzi and a private beach belonging to the hotel. You can order nearly anything from the bar from dawn till dusk. Parking is across the road next to the bus stop. The hotel sits between Elounda and Agios Nikolaos, and both towns are five minutes away by car.
