The Island Concept

The little cove below the hotel felt like our own secluded paradise, and the sea views from our room were incredible. It’s a small hotel, so there’s a real sense of intimacy. The restaurant and pool both look out over a lovely setting, and the staff kept doing their best to meet our needs.

The pool area felt like something out of a dream, and breakfast comes with views that are hard to beat. The staff were the best part for us: so warm, kind, and hospitable, and they treated us wonderfully.

Christos and the rest of the staff gave impeccable service. They were thoughtful and had great suggestions for things to do nearby. We had a lovely stay overall, though a few details could use attention. We spent three nights in a deluxe room with an outdoor Jacuzzi. We’d been looking forward to using it, but on arrival found the water cold. Staff explained it has a maximum setting of 28°C. We missed that detail on the website, but a normal Jacuzzi is at least 35°C, and in late September this felt far too cold, so we didn’t use it. Keeping it so cool seems odd, especially in colder months. The shower temperature also fluctuated when other units flushed toilets or ran water, which the hotel should improve. The room service mostly made the bed and changed towels. For what we paid, we’d have liked more tidying. There were only two hooks for body towels and two for face towels, so adding more in the bathroom would help. We enjoyed the restaurant, though it wasn’t especially impressive, and after dinner there one night we preferred eating in town. Sunscreen and goggles for guests might also be a nice touch. With a little more attention to these things, the experience could be even better for future guests.

The views were the best part of our honeymoon stay at The Island Concept. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained, with very modern rooms, as you’d expect from a new place. Breakfast and the restaurant food were amazing, though drinks at the bar were a bit hit or miss. The staff were incredibly friendly, and we’d happily come back.
