Ni-Mar Studios & Apartments

We arrived to a dirty room that smelled of old cigarette smoke, despite being a non-smoking room. With our 1.5-year-old baby, that was an immediate red flag. There was even a cigarette burn on the cupboard, and when we mentioned it, they said they couldn't monitor what previous guests did. The bathroom was worse, with black mold, stains, and lots of long hair from a former guest in the sink. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. They said the room would be cleaned every day. We called each day with complaints, but it wasn't until day five that anyone came, bringing fresh towels but no new sheets or toilet paper. What a joke. The website advertises Wi-Fi, but there was none. There were no kitchen appliances either. After calling again, we got some of the items that should normally have been included. Everything was filthy, so we cleaned the whole apartment ourselves with bleach because we had to stay there with our baby for two weeks. Other guests we spoke to had the same problems. One person didn't even have a fridge. They said not all rooms have the same appliances. What? In this heat? I definitely wouldn't recommend this place. It's a disgrace.

The beds had fantastic mattresses, and the place is very close to the beach and all the shops in Agios Sostis. Cleanliness was an issue, though. They changed our towels and sheets on day five, at 8 am. They also wouldn't have taken the toilet rubbish if I hadn't mentioned it, even though there were four of us. Internet only worked in one room, not at all on the balcony. The water in the wider area isn't drinkable.

We were completely satisfied. The apartment had everything we needed, including a coffee maker, kettle, microwave, and utensils, and the rooms were clean. There's a cozy courtyard under a large roof that provides shade from the sun. We were in a perfect location, had good contact with the owner, and slept well all day.
