Park Hotel

The breakfast was a real highlight, with plenty of choice and delicious fresh-squeezed orange juice. We didn’t try the pool, though it looked inviting. There was also ample parking on-site, and the spacious rooms had big balconies that made a nice place to unwind. Park Hotel has recently been renovated, and the location gives easy access to the nearby beach and attractions. The one letdown was the mattress, which wasn’t clean. Otherwise, we had a pleasant stay, and the location, amenities and breakfast make it a good option.

We paid about 75€ for one night before heading to Thassos. The breakfast was good, the location was quiet, and the staff were really nice. There’s a parking area out front. It was almost perfect and better than we expected, apart from the bathroom: there’s no shower cabin, so the floor and toilet area got wet after a shower.

The room was clean, recently renovated and good value, and the hotel is well located near the city center with free parking. It seems well suited to business trips, but the noise made it a poor fit for a vacation. The sound insulation is bad: you can clearly hear people talking in other rooms, and even a toilet flushing comes through the pipes, since the sink is in the room. On Sunday, cleaning staff started around 9 in the morning and were talking and laughing loudly. The hotel is on a main street, so sleeping with the window open isn’t possible.

The staff were very kind and polite, and the bed was comfortable. My room was tiny, though, with no wardrobe, and there was an unpleasant smell from the drains. It looked recently refurbished, with a nice modern design. Breakfast was OK.
