You can walk to the beach in just one minute, and the accommodation has an awesome sea view over crystal-clear water and sunbeds. Right next door there’s a cafe-restaurant with great coffee and food. We’d read complaints about the mattress, but the owner had replaced it with a new one. The shower curtain was a bit uncomfortable, and there was hot water most of the time, except late at night. Natassa was very helpful. Good value for money.

The view is beautiful, and the area is quiet, with a small but very nice beach. Our check-in was listed as 12:00, but when I called, I was told I had the wrong number. I waited in the sun for 30 minutes and sent a message, but got no answer. The barman called to say check-in was at 2:00 PM, but she wasn’t there. It didn’t feel serious. We arrived at 2:00 PM, and the room was still being cleaned while we were there, for 15-20 minutes. On the evening of 24 August, we came back after dinner and had no water until morning.

The balcony has a stunning view, and a secluded sandy beach is right nearby. But the place is mismanaged: the air conditioning was out of order for ten days, the front doors were faulty, toilet paper was often in short supply, and housekeeping was infrequent. When an issue came up on our last day, the female owner responded with yelling, threats, and accusations. It ruined our memories of what had felt like a paradise.

The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. Dimitris and Natasha were welcoming and polite. Mare di Levante is in a great spot, right by the sea and beside the main road. We had a great time and definitely recommend it.
