Alinda Hotel

We’ve stayed here three times now, and this definitely won’t be the last. It’s in a beautiful spot, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful the whole time.

We spent one night here and ate at the restaurant. The food was nice and the portions generous. Our room was spacious and very clean. There’s a beachfront, but not enough umbrellas, so more than half the sunbeds are out in full sun for much of the day. That’s uncomfortable in the summer heat. There are shaded tables on the restaurant side, though. Most of the staff were kind. One staff member kept coming after us several times to collect payment for coffee and water, even though we’d already paid. We were hotel guests and weren’t going anywhere, so the behavior felt odd and we didn’t enjoy it. The room price felt high for one night, probably because island prices are generally seasonal.

A quiet place to relax and get a feel for Greek life. Bars, restaurants, and the main village by the ferry are all accessible, the village just a short taxi ride away. Our room was cleaned daily, the air conditioning worked well, and the modern bathroom had a great shower. From the balcony we could see the harbour and catch a beautiful sunrise. The lobby has old furniture that gives a sense of what the hotel used to look like. Dinner at the restaurant was really good, and twice a week they have a lovely Greek music night. As a guest, you can use the beach sunbed free of charge.

I’ve stayed here twice with my wife, and we’re already looking forward to going again. We love the restaurant and its menu, with flavors that remind me of meals at my family table as a child. The hotel sits by a beautiful beach, Alinda, which I think is the best on the island. It’s cozy and family-friendly, run by lovely people, and all the staff are hospitable. The owners are very open-hearted.
