Alonissos Beach Bungalows & Suites Hotel

The uncomfortable mattresses and the awful air conditioning made the stay miserable. The unit was old, dirty, and barely worked, and the safe was broken. At first I was pleased, as the hotel looked lovely and seemed well located. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom, though the bathtub was tiny. The breakfast area had a wonderful view, but nobody sat outside because it was swarming with wasps. Staff put out little plates of jam to draw them away, supposedly, or burned coffee in ashtrays as a repellent. The smell was foul. Staff at both reception and the restaurant were impolite. This hotel ruined my vacation, and I hope I never stay there again.

The beach just below the hotel is the best on Alonissos, and the architecture is magnificent. The staff were kind and willing to help, though they didn’t seem happy. The rooms need a major overhaul, and breakfast felt poor for the price. It was a nice experience overall, but I’d return only after the place has been renewed.

We spent the last five days here, and it may have been the best value holiday I’ve had in years. You can stay on the property and have everything you need, including direct access to the island’s best beach. Our room was clean, spacious, decent, and had a sea view. The services were friendly and helpful, and breakfast had everything you could ask for. The whole experience was perfect for us. My one friendly suggestion is to improve the dinner menu and offer more options.

We’ll definitely come back next year, and we recommend this place 10/10. It’s right beside a fantastic beach, and the staff gave us some of the best service we’ve experienced. They really know what they’re doing.
