Ippokampos Town Apartments

The location is the real standout, just a short walk from Agios Georgios beach, with shops and restaurants nearby while the area itself stays peaceful. We found the price excellent for what you get in Naxos. We stayed at Ippokampos Town Apartments, and the clean room met our needs, though the bed could have been more comfortable. A solid choice if you're after a beachside stay at a good price.

We liked being able to use the beach beds at the sister Ippokampos beach front, where they looked after us each time. The location is great, close to pretty much everything, including beaches if you rent a car. Reception made us feel welcome, gave us suggestions for things to see around the island, and let us park right out front, which was a bonus. The room was clean and cared for every day. We chose Ippokampos for its kitchenette, but it wasn't as well equipped as we'd hoped, and some utensils weren't clean. The air conditioning was awkward to use, and we couldn't direct the airflow away from the bed. Since the key has to stay in the wall to keep the electricity on, the room got hot while we were out. After a beach day, it took about another 30 minutes for it to cool down again. The walls also seemed paper thin, and we could hear kids playing in the street late at night. The stay wasn't horrible, but it could have been better.

The location was perfect, about a five-minute walk from the beaches, Chora, and everything else. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, so the receptionist took us down to their beach restaurant and made us comfortable there. By the time we got back to reception, he'd already put our bags in the room and set everything up. Amazing service. We had a great two-night stay and would book here again if we return.

We had a good stay in Naxos and would recommend this place.
