Ampelos Suites

The staff made the biggest difference. They were so kind, welcoming, and accommodating, and made our trip really enjoyable. The hotel is well located, so we could walk everywhere. The rooms were spacious and nice, with balconies, and there’s a beautiful terrace on top. All that for a great price!

There’s a shared terrace at the top with an amazing 360-degree view, and some rooms have a super nice view too. The staff were very accommodating, and breakfast was good for the small extra price. The hotel itself is very nice, with spacious, nicely decorated rooms. You do have to walk up a few blocks to get there, but several well-known restaurants in the island center are nearby.

We chose Naxos as a less touristy island before Santorini, during our trip around Greece in late May for a honeymoon that had been delayed two years. It was perfect for us, and Ampelos was a great place to stay. The rooftop was lovely to have access to, and the place was very clean. The location was very good and affordable too. Walking to the port took around 5-10 minutes, depending on how many shops we stopped at.

The neighborhood felt very safe, and the terrace view was unbeatable. The cleaning staff were incredibly nice and did a superb job organizing the room. Having a private balcony was handy. The main downsides were the steep, hilly road up to the hotel and the weaker Wi-Fi connection.
