Agapi Beach Resort - Premium All Inclusive

Nadia at reception made a big difference to our holiday. Our first room wasn't what we expected, but she was kind, professional, and arranged a more spacious room with a lovely garden view the next day. She also let us check out at 1 PM and gave us a room to shower and freshen up before our evening airport transfer. We really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere at Agapi Beach Resort, with its gardens, good food, restaurants, friendly service, and peaceful evenings by the beach bar. The hotel is close to the sea, and we had a wonderful vacation in Crete. Thanks to Nadia and the whole Agapi Beach Resort team for a memorable stay. We'd love to come back.

The people working here really made the week for us. Everyone was friendly, smiling, and genuinely helpful, and the resort felt warm and relaxed throughout. We stayed in a Premium Seaview room, which was modern, comfortable, and very clean. Waking up to the sea each morning was a real highlight. There was lots of variety in the food, and the beachfront was perfect for long, lazy days. We had such a fantastic week at Agapi Beach Resort that we honestly didn't want to leave. I can see why guests come back year after year!

As a young family, we found this hotel very disappointing and would strongly advise others to avoid it. In my opinion, it isn't an all-inclusive resort by any real standard. It feels more like a quiet, basic hotel for a short stay, not a place for families expecting comfort, convenience, or proper service. The location felt very isolated, with no nearby shops or things to do. We also heard there was a shooting up the road from where we were staying. I'm not sure how safe the area is. Check Heraklion news in May and you'll see. The hotel seemed to cater mostly to elderly guests, and the constant stares made us uncomfortable at times. It gave us the impression that people of colour weren't familiar there, which affected the overall vibe. Service was very poor. There was no iron available when we asked, no toothbrush or toothpaste, and we needed a microwave to warm our child's milk and food but found only one in the entire hotel. At night there was barely any staff, and the one person around didn't seem to know what was going on. For an all-inclusive hotel, missing these basics is unacceptable. The indoor shop with basic essentials was convenient, and restaurant staff were somewhat helpful at times. The food was often cold, and there was only one microwave for reheating it. Salads were the only decent option. Drinks were okay, especially for kids. Our room was okay, though not especially family-friendly, perhaps depending on the room type. Housekeeping was frustrating. Staff rushed us to leave so they could clean, even after we asked them to come back later. They would wait outside with their equipment, but often didn't clean properly, just made the bed, replaced the water, and restocked coffee. There were no robes, toothbrush, toothpaste, iron, or ironing board, just basic shampoo and lotion. The beach was dirty and poorly maintained. Maybe recent rain contributed, but it still didn't meet what we'd expect from a resort. The kids' play area was closed during our stay with no explanation, and looked more like a hazard than a safe place to play. We didn't use the bars, so I can't comment on them.

We visited in October, near the end of the season, and the service was still fantastic. The resort and beach were both lovely, and all the staff were wonderful. Manos, the restaurant manager, was especially welcoming and friendly, an absolute gem. A fabulous hotel, and I couldn't fault it 😊
