Hotel Sarandos

The room was dirty and lacked basic necessities, and there was no hospitality. The owner's manner made the whole experience worse: she was sarcastic and aggressive for no reason, and I have never been treated so badly as a paying customer. I arrived in a good mood for a vacation, but it was ruined. Unacceptable.

Maria and her husband were lovely hosts, and they also run a tavern on one of Ammouliani's beaches with umbrellas and sun loungers. They always prepare fresh seafood there. The hotel itself was quiet and well placed, close to taverns and grocery shops, with the central promenade less than a ten-minute walk away. Our room was spotless, cleaned daily, and had comfortable beds and pillows. A wonderful place, I recommend it.

The room was okay, though it had no shampoo or shower gel. At 11:15 they called and texted to say we had to leave by 11:30 because of Covid-19, so we rushed out and left our own shampoos behind. We texted and called to arrange picking them up. At first they insisted nothing had been forgotten, then agreed they'd found something, but said it wasn't possible to come get it at that time. The items themselves weren't important, but it made me wonder how they would have handled it if we'd left something else.

For the money, it was relatively okay and very clean. A few small improvements could make it much better, which is why I gave it four stars.
