Breakfast was so abundant that they actually asked guests to limit how much food they took, and everything was fresh and appetizing. Mr. Apostolos was lovely to be served by, and meeting the chef, a kind and affable woman, made us feel cared for and at home. The hotel also has pools and a beautiful beach, with front-row loungers reserved for guests. My room wasn’t big, but it had every comfort, and I especially appreciated the complimentary minibar water replenished daily and the excellent capsule coffee. The room was always tidy and clean, and all the staff were kind and helpful. A dream stay at a small hotel of real quality, and heartfelt thanks for the hospitality.

The beach was lovely for swimming, with very clear water, and we enjoyed the tasty food and drinks at the beach restaurant. The loungers were comfortable, and the staff were accommodating. The hotel itself is beautifully designed. We had a great stay and would love to come back.

There’s a huge pool here, so why cover the whole beach with sunbeds?

The place could be magnificent, but it feels like they’re turning it into a nightclub everyone has to endure. Loud music comes from the beach, the loungers, and the studios, and the ALMI pool cleaner plays it constantly from the morning. If you’re staying in the studios or renting a lounger, you have to put up with the noise. Forget trying to sleep, relax, or read in your room or on the beach. The guy decides you have to live with the nightlife.

The beach below the hotel is fantastic, and the location is great. We found the restaurant food incredible, some of the best on the island, and well worth the price. The staff were consistently friendly and keen to help. Almi is a great option for an authentic, relaxing stay in Karpathos.
