Kozanos Hotel & Suites

The hotel is in a quiet village, and our room was cleaned every day. But the rooms in the main building are a bit dated. I had a hard time getting the shower to a comfortable temperature, it was either cold or very hot. Water splashed onto the floor whenever the toilet was flushed. Most of the time, nobody was at reception.

We chose Kozanos Suites for a 10-day babymoon and found it peaceful and lovely. We booked through Booking.com about six months ahead and got an amazing deal, especially since each suite has its own private pool. A car is really necessary if you want to explore the island, visit Zante Town or nearby beaches, or get to larger supermarkets. The hotel is in the quiet village of Ammoudi, which doesn't have much in the way of beaches or attractions. There’s a small parking area right beside the suites, which was handy with all our luggage. The suite was spacious enough for four, although we were a couple, with one large bed and two smaller ones. The private terrace and pool are small, but cozy and good for relaxing. Daily housekeeping included fresh towels, bed making, and sheet changes when needed. Everything was clean and tidy. There’s also a small kitchen and a large fridge stocked with water, juice, and a bottle of wine, a nice touch. The photos online looked great, and even though we arrived late at night, a friendly woman at reception stayed late to welcome us and check us in. It was good value for money and a great fit for couples wanting some peace and privacy.

We were the villa’s first guests, just after it opened, and the price for what we got was perfect. The location worked well for exploring, right in the middle of the island. Conditions were very good, with a private pool, full kitchen, and comfortable bed. It suited couples, families, and even small groups. The villas are separate and in a very quiet spot. The only hard part was having to leave.

We rented a 50 cc scooter for a week from Mouzakis rental. Since the rental place has no map pin of its own and the woman at the hotel reception handled the rental, I’m leaving my review here. At first there were no serious problems, though we had to inflate a tire a few times. Then the rear brake stopped working completely while we were going up a steep hill. It worked again after cooling down, so we didn’t take it back right away. The next morning the throttle snapped and stayed stuck at full gas, which was scary. We went back, and they fixed those problems, but we lost our lunch break waiting for the repair. The day after that, the scooter broke down again, this time with fuel leaking from the tank. Someone came and patched it using some pipes and a kitchen knife, lol. Then it started lagging, so we gave up and just stayed at the nearest beach. When I asked for some compensation upon returning the scooter, I got nothing, not even an apology. I really don’t recommend this rental.
