This really deserves to be considered a five-star hotel, everything else was good. The food could sometimes be a little too cold. Drinks at the special restaurants cost extra, though I think an all-inclusive stay should include at least one drink. It would also be nice to serve yourself drinks at dinner, since waiting for the waiters can take a while.

The place looked almost nothing like the pictures, and I found it nearly ugly, so I wouldn’t recommend it. The food wasn’t as good as you might expect either. For a good vacation, I’d go to the other side of the island.

This is a senior hotel with mostly older guests, and it seems to cater to German visitors. All the staff speak German, though they can speak English too. The staff were really friendly and great, and compared with other resorts the food was definitely delicious.

There was a great range of food at the buffet, and the service was impeccable. The staff were fantastic, and the hotel was clean and well looked after throughout, from the rooms to the pools and gardens. Excellent hospitality. A big thank you to everyone at Anissa Beach.

The hotel is right beside a beautiful beach, which suited us since we prefer the sea, though the pool area looked fantastic too, with palm trees and a bar. We also really enjoyed the food, with lots of choices cooked just right, including typical local dishes from Crete. The staff are lovely, friendly and polite, always happy to help with whatever you need.
