Mikes Beach Apartments & Studios

We chose this place as a base for driving around Crete, and the location worked perfectly for that. Mike and his family were kind and available whenever we needed anything. The room was serviced regularly, too. We really enjoyed our stay at Mike's Beach Apartments.

We were there for three nights at the start of June, and it was quiet, sunny, and the sea was lovely and calm. The modern room was nice, with fresh laundry each day, and there’s parking behind the apartments. The beach is a couple of minutes away on foot, with sunbeds, bars, and refreshments at the nearby beaches. A shop is just around the corner, and there’s a pleasant restaurant right in front. If you don’t have a car, a tourist train runs along the seafront every two hours to the aquapark and crete aquarium. The old traditional village of analipsi is nearby and has some fabulous traditional restaurants. Chersonisoss is a short drive away for shops, restaurants, tavernas, and cocktail bars. The setting is peaceful but still close to the amenities you need.

The host was very friendly, though not always around. You get a lot for the low price, and the rooms are nice. The beach is almost right there, and many rooms have a partial sea view from the balcony.

The room, beds, bathroom, and smart TV were all pleasant, and the apartment itself was very nice. But the bathroom door had no lock, and the kitchen was missing basics like a dish rack or kitchen towel. The towels smelled of cigarettes. Communication with the owner was poor, too. At night there were strange loud sounds. Sometimes it was cats singing at 3am, other times it was loud machinery and metal noises around midnight.
