The location made the stay easy, with the beach close by and Anaxos shops and tavernas nearby too. We were warmly welcomed and often ran into the owner while out; they were always friendly and respectful. Our twin room with a terrace was spotlessly clean, with everything working and toilet paper replaced daily. It came with kitchen utensils, though hand soap would have been useful when we first arrived. The room was basic, and we had expected a double bed based on the photos. The spacious balcony had a partial sea view and looked over farmland, but had no shade at any time of day, so a parasol would help. We didn't use the pool, but its loungers looked worn and could do with replacing. We prefer the beach, so that wasn't a big issue. Virginia Studios was excellent value, and we're looking forward to coming back.

The owners were lovely, and when we asked for extra kitchen gear, they brought us some. Our renovated room had a roof terrace, and everything was good. It would have been nice to have a ventilator for sleeping, and both the pool and roof terrace could use more shaded spots. Still, it’s a decent place to stay with very lovely people.
