Castel Abaso Boutique Apartments by Explore Andros

Christos was so accommodating, and his restaurant Fresco in town had delicious food and a great vibe. The apartment was huge, very clean and child-friendly for our one-year-old. The beds and cot were comfortable, and housekeeping refreshed the towels each day, which was a lovely surprise. We had a wonderful stay and would come back to Andros. The location is great, close to the high street, with a supermarket about 10 minutes away at the top of it. We parked by the waterfront below and found it easier to walk up the steps to the apartment than to carry our luggage through town. There’s more parking along the waterfront, too. The kitchenette is on the small side and doesn’t have a microwave, but it does what you need. For anyone bringing a baby who needs bottles, I’d suggest packing cold-water sterilising tablets and a container. All in all, a 10/10 find. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We’d book here again without hesitation. The hotel was super quiet, and we had Chora Andros and Castel Abaso to ourselves. We stayed four nights in December 2022, but wished we could have stayed longer before continuing our trip to another island. Our suite looked out over the sea, town, church and pedestrian street, and it was a treat to sit on our own terrace and listen to the ocean. The beds were comfortable, the rooms quiet, and the bathroom was spacious with an ocean view. The hotel is on a pedestrian street, and there’s easy access to small, charming villages nearby along spectacular roads and scenery. Chora Andros itself is a gem. The owners were kind and quick to respond. We didn’t have any problems except getting Netflix to work, but they gave us the smart TV remote and that fixed it. Beautiful boutique hotel and location, with gorgeous views.

George met us with plenty of suggestions for trips nearby. The room was great, and so was the location.

George was a huge help. He met us at the bus station, carried our heavy bags when we left, and helped us out along the way. The apartment is right in the old town, beautifully renovated and decorated, and very comfortable. There’s also a big terrace with a partial view of the sea.
