Angelbay Bungalows

We'd love to return, but finding a long enough opening is difficult. From July through September, the place often seems to have only 3-4 day gaps. We spent three summers in a row here, and remember them fondly. The hosts are kind and accommodating, and there's plenty to do around the property, including table tennis, bicycles for rides, a barbecue gathering area, and a vegetable garden. The pool in the back is lit well enough for a swim late into the night. The apartments are comfortable, clean, new, and nicely equipped. From the terrace there's an incredible view of the bay, with fragrant flowers, neat lawns, and greenery all around. Nights are peaceful, then crickets are what wake you in the morning. The beach is wonderful and was usually nearly empty when we went. Getting down is steep, though, and the climb back can be awkward with small children.

We had a great stay and felt it was good value. I only wish we'd booked one of the bungalows facing the sea, the sunsets looked amazing. The mattresses were softer than we prefer, and it would help to have better pillows or two for each person. The location worked well for getting to Kassandra peninsula, where the beaches are calmer and the water clearer. The roads were in perfect condition. We especially liked a taverna in Old Town and taking the ferry into the city. Their app, with suggestions for things to see in Thessaloniki and how to reach them, was easy to use and spot on. The bungalow was well designed and stocked, and the managers and staff were great. It's a relaxing choice for families, and our child had a lot of fun in the pool. The sunrises from the private beach were the moment I looked forward to most. I'd get up early to watch the sea and the sky turn orange and pink. It was beautiful. Angelbay Bungalows is a quiet, remote-feeling place to get away from the crowds. The gardens are full of bright flowers and greenery, and the pool was great for cooling off in the sun. My bungalow had everything I needed, and the staff were wonderful throughout my stay. For a peaceful, relaxing holiday, I can't recommend this little spot enough.

George was so helpful, sharing ideas for places to see in Thessaloniki and even helping us order food to the bungalow by phone when the rain kept us in. The little private beach and the view were the best parts for the kids and for us. We visited for a few days in April. The weather wasn't on our side, but we still had a really good time. The setting is beautiful and private, while restaurants and a supermarket are only a short drive away. I'd happily recommend it.
