Breakfast on the private deck in front of our room, at the time we requested, set the tone for each day. From there we could see the pool deck and Mediterranean Sea, sit under sail shades away from the sun, and enjoy the breeze created by the building’s thoughtful placement in the landscape. We’d linger before heading out to explore, then often return in the afternoon for the pristine pool deck and views that seemed hard to match anywhere on the island. Maria’s care made our stay feel restorative and meaningful, even though it was far too short. On the boat away from the island, we spotted a sparkle on the hill from Pentanemi and already knew we’d come back as soon as we could. Our first trip to Folegandros was in September 2025, shortly after Pentanemi opened, and we were lucky to stay there. Maria greeted us when we arrived and showed us to our room. She’s one of the most welcoming and genuine hosts we’ve met while traveling. Turning the first corner past the infinity pool deck, we were struck by the care and quality in every architectural detail. The room’s doors opened onto a generous living room with a well-equipped kitchenette and everything we needed to feel comfortable. Three steps up, the suite had a luxurious bed and a carefully designed bathroom with a large shower and double vanity. There was also a private outdoor courtyard, accessible only from the bedroom, with a refreshing outdoor shower. Then we discovered the stairs outside leading up to our private roof deck, with a full 360-degree view of the island. We felt welcome, cared for, and comfortable throughout.

Every part of our stay felt like a 10/10. Pentanemi was beautifully kept, clean, charming, and peaceful, with so much care and taste in the details. The views were breathtaking, the kind that leave you speechless at sunrise and sunset. Maria, the owner, was wonderful and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Her kindness, hospitality, and attention to detail made the trip extra special. This is one of the best places we’ve stayed, and we’d return without hesitation. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Folegandros, a little paradise.

Maria made everything easy, even arranging a car and a boat tour for us. The breakfasts were generous, with lots of local island produce and fresh orange juice, served each morning on our private patio. Pentanemi sits above Agali beach, about a five-minute drive, if that, from Chora. Our room was beautifully designed and spotless every day, thanks to the lovely Indonesian woman who cleaned it. The whole stay felt like a dream, was amazing value, and I can't wait to return.

Maria helped us choose beaches according to the wind, which made a real difference. We covered a lot of Folegandros in a few days and especially liked Katergo beach and Agios Nikolaos, just below Pentanemi near Agali beach. The location also made it easy to reach restaurants and other beaches, though we wished we'd had more time to linger. We loved the spacious suites, bright roomy bathrooms and generous closets, plus the rooftop for sunset drinks and the sunny spot out front for breakfast. The villas and pool feel carefully thought through, with comfortable places to sit and sea views on both sides. Maria's advice, company, generosity and breakfasts made us feel like family. We arrived after a few days in Milos, having chosen Folegandros around the ferry schedule and what the island offered, and were so glad we stayed at Pentanemi shortly after it opened. It became a highlight of our Greece trip. Thank you, Maria, for such a warm welcome.

Maria, thank you for being such a wonderful host and for every lovely breakfast. Pentanemi feels like a secluded retreat, with heartfelt hospitality and beautiful craftsmanship all around. The sea and sky seem to meet in every direction, framed by a lovely balance of colors and elements.
