Aloni Guesthouse

The price was pretty cheap, and the hosts were friendly and keen to promote the area they come from. Still, our room had a few dead flies on the floor, the fridge didn't work, and the bathroom was too small. There was a restaurant sign at the entrance, but the restaurant didn't really serve food. It was also hard to locate the reception and find the owners.

The homemade food is what we'll remember most. The menu is simple and traditional, but the feta was so good it had us joking about moving to Ano Pedina, and the lamb chops felt almost unreal. The homemade Tsipouro brought us back down to earth. Breakfast cost 5€ and was well worth it, with tea or coffee, lots of bread, honey, marmalade, vegetables, and an amazing omelette. We spent three nights at aloni‘s guesthouse and left with tears of joy. The host's family made us feel comfortable and gave us memories we'll carry with us. The accommodation was clean, cozy, and authentic, with a great base for visiting the surrounding area, including the Viko‘s gorge, the natural pools of Papigo, and rafting in the Vodoimatis. We'll recommend Aloni Guesthouse to our friends and hope it stays just as it is. 10/10.

The garden is lovely for breakfast, and the host is so friendly. The rooms were clean and cozy too. It's a great base for getting around Zagorohoria, and I'd definitely come back.

A five star stay. Just be aware that the hotel now operates under a different name. Its Google Maps location isn't accurate, though it's right at the entrance to the village.
