The view at night is something else: the lights on Paros and the little ferry between Pounta (on Paros) and Antiparos make it feel like a science-fiction movie. I keep coming back, moved every time by the honesty, sincerity, and friendliness of the people here. I found a good-priced, actually cheap, apartment right on the beach with no road in front, just birds, sea, beach, and quiet. The very nice Lillian rents studios, apartments, and rooms at Mike's Place, which has the best views in Antiparos village. Ground-floor places have a garden terrace; upstairs there's a balcony, and a big table for breakfast or a drink. You can also sit on the pier in front of the house, right out over the sea. This is somewhere I return to almost every year, so I may well be your neighbour. It's quiet and comfortable, close to the beaches, restaurants, supermarkets, the bakery, and the ferries. People come back year after year, including people who've been staying at Mike's Place longer than I have, and for good reason.
