Windmill Rooms Hotel

We paid 125 euros a night for a room with two beds, a small fridge, and a bathroom that had several problems. The toilet wouldn't flush properly, so we had to fix it ourselves each time, and the broken shower tap meant we couldn't shower properly. The bathroom had no proper door or handle, and the Wi-Fi didn't work. Other rooms at 60-70 euros a night had proper services and a kitchen, which makes what we paid seem ridiculous. Different people asked us to pay several times, but nobody checked at the end whether we were happy with the service. We wouldn't book this again.

They cleaned the room daily, but it was small and old, with no view and a tiny balcony. The bathroom was okay, though its accordion door wasn't proper, and there was no sound insulation at all. For the price, I wouldn't recommend it.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the place sits right at the edge of town. The owners are a lovely family who were happy to chat and point us toward some delicious local honey. I'd gladly recommend it to friends and family.

This wasn't the room shown in the ad. It was a single box room, with rooftops for a view and a bathroom like a cupboard. There was no table to put anything on, just two plastic hangers and two wire ones, with no hooks. The toilet paper had to stay in the bedroom or it got wet. The A/C didn't work, the fan above the bed felt dangerous, and the door kept rattling. Virginia Frayne.
