Anthousa Hotel

The room was clean and neat, but small and minimal. There’s a large free public car park nearby, and the location in Apollonia is super convenient. Just be ready to wheel your own bags up the hill or stairs, LOL, it’s Greece. The hot water heater has to be switched on at the circuit board, left for a while, then switched off before a shower. That's a bit of a hassle, and I only found out after going down to reception to report no hot water. There’s no phone in the room, so I had to go down for help. The staff were helpful.

The people working at Anthousa Hotel were probably the best part of our stay. They were kind, sincere, extremely helpful, and went out of their way to make us comfortable. My girlfriend and I were very satisfied when we visited Sifnos. The room was great, very clean, and had a great view. The location is immaculate, right by the alleys, with a bus stop directly outside that made it easy to get all around the island. I can't recommend it enough. It was a big part of our great time in Sifnos!

I was stuck on Sifnos alone for a night during my first trip to Greece and didn't know what to expect. Mr. Geronopous and his wife were amazing and treated me like family. They arranged a cab from the port, and the room was really nice and clean, with a very comfortable bed. The restaurant food was very good. After I'd had one too many Alpha Beers at Angel Bar down the street, the kitchen was closing, but Mrs. Geronopous still went out of her way to make me an American style pizza. It was probably the best American style pizza I've had outside the US. This hotel is perfect for a weekend on Sifnos. Their pastry shop also has the best local honey.

I couldn't sleep one night, even with ear plugs, because families outside were talking loudly all night. The mattress on the floor wasn't comfortable, though it was clean. The pastry shop is super cute and has Greek mountain tea and herbs, but the pastries, including baklava, weren't that good. The location is convenient and the family is nice. The bus stop outside goes to the beaches, while the stop behind the hotel in the square goes to Kamares and the port.
