Stamna Sifnos, a member of Design Hotels

The breakfast was fresh, delicious, beautifully presented, and full of local flavors. Plos also served some of our best meals on the island. What made our nine nights at Stamna so memorable, though, was the heartfelt welcome. Twin brothers Costas and Nikos have made a place with real soul, thoughtful details, and an easy elegance. Their kindness and love of hospitality showed everywhere, and they were always around to help guests feel at home. The rest of the team deserves credit too. Every staff member other than Costas was warm, professional, and attentive, with a smile and a readiness to do more to make our stay special. The peaceful setting, food, and care made it hard to leave. By the end of nine days we felt more like friends than guests. Thank you, Costas, Nikos, and everyone at Stamna. We’re already dreaming of coming back to Sifnos. Five stars and our highest recommendation.

I don’t usually leave hotel reviews, but this one deserves it. The twin brothers who run it provide fantastic service, and the place is quiet and well designed. The rooms have a terrific layout, bed, and terrace. There are villas with ocean views, an outdoor pool, a gym, and an excellent breakfast. Apollonia is a short walk away. I can’t recommend it enough.

We only had three nights and wished we could have stayed longer. We’ll definitely return. The hotel is close to Apollonia, Artemonas, and Kastro, and while you can walk to them, it’s a very short drive. It’s so convenient to town, yet the grounds stay quiet and relaxed. The place works well for couples and families. There were several families with young children during our visit, the restaurant has a kids’ menu, and one end of the pool has a zero entry. We stayed in room 302, a suite with a private pool and sea view. There was an entry room with a couch and TV, plus a king sized bed. The real highlight was outdoors: a big patio with panoramic views, loungers, an infinity pool, and a covered table for eating outside. The rooms are spread across a few areas, and the hotel’s golf cart can take you up to parking if you ask. We also used the hotel pool on our last day after checkout. Breakfast was included and delicious, with a buffet of fruit, cheese, pastries, and more, as well as an à la carte menu. We had a very good lunch at the property too. There’s an outdoor gym we didn’t use, but it seemed well equipped with a bike and rowing machine.

The property is beautiful, with lovely gardens and a modern, clean, well appointed design. When it rained on our first day, the whole place smelled of fresh jasmine. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and everything felt luxurious. We were especially touched by the woman who served coffee each morning. She remembered our orders and was warm and friendly, which really stood out. The owner was very kind and shared details about building and opening the hotel, which we enjoyed hearing.
