We spent most of our time relaxing at this rustic villa, with a pool and lovely views. The house is spacious, with two bedrooms, air conditioning in each, and a decent shower. The kitchen is basic but does the job. The pool is shared, though we never saw anyone else using it. WiFi worked best in the lounge and kitchen, and you'll definitely need a car here. Steve takes care of the property and was friendly and helpful when we were figuring out where to go around Crete. In the village, we tried the three restaurants that had people in them, and each had its own appeal. Kafeneio1912 is the spot for eating with locals, with good food and wine, beer, or Raki. The Tavern was probably the most elevated meal and had great service. For a beach day, we liked GK Beach Hotel best. The food and drinks were great, and the beds are free if you buy something. The waiters were super friendly. Marathi Beach has calm water, though it can get busy.

The host was attentive, and the house and pool were lovely. There's a short walk to the village, where we found four or five nice restaurants. You'll pretty much need a car to stay here.
