Arhontiko Arhanes Suites

A quiet, beautiful village and a real hideaway in the suites. Everything was impeccably clean, and communication was great. Restaurants are about a six-minute walk away. I’d definitely recommend it :)

Arhontiko Arhanes Suites made a great base for exploring central Crete without staying in Heraklion. We went to Knossos and Heraklion, toured the wine area, and did some walking. The village itself has several good places to eat, and we had a positive experience there. Our apartment was spacious, comfortable, beautifully furnished, and clean. The pool and terrace looked picturesque and were immaculate. Although we didn’t meet the hosts, their communication was kind, steady, and generous, and they shared lots of useful suggestions for the village and beyond.

Eleni was a wonderful source of ideas, recommending restaurants and places to see all over Crete, and even putting together a daily itinerary for us. She knew about everything we asked, from places to eat and villages to wineries and olive farms. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed at Arhontico Arhanes suites just before Easter and loved the peaceful, authentic setting among the mountains and nature. The suites are tasteful and feel homely. The pool and terrace were lovely, with flowers and an orange tree. We drank our morning coffee there as sparrows flew over the water. Euharisto

The town was beautiful and wonderfully peaceful, and the location is handy for many sights. We spent two nights here in May and had a lovely time. The rooms were cozy and clean, and the host was kind and easy to reach with questions or concerns. I can’t recommend it enough for a relaxing stay.
