Trapela Limeni Luxury Suites

Dimitra welcomed us with a lovely smile, offered a cold coffee and shared all the information we needed about the area. Our room was just what we wanted, spacious, bright and cool, with a wonderful view over Limeni and a private jacuzzi on the second terrace. We had a great time at Trapela, a wonderful boutique hotel in one of the most beautiful spots in Mani, Peloponnese.

The staff were excellent and super friendly, breakfast was nice, and parking was included and available. It's a great base for a few days exploring the Mani peninsula, with beautiful views and a spacious luxury room. My only suggestions: add towel hooks so towels can dry properly, provide washcloths, which may be an American preference, and offer luggage help given the number of stairs to the rooms. Highly recommend!

The beds were dreamy, and we had the best night's sleep in a very long time. The hotel is beautifully designed, with tastefully furnished rooms, a peaceful feel, delicious breakfast and a lovely ambience. We enjoyed it much more than the very overpriced hotel we stayed at the previous night along Limeni's seafront. The staff were fabulous and welcoming. Hope we can come back soon!

The views really are as stunning as the photos, and the property sits in a beautiful area. But there was too big a gap between the online presentation and what we experienced. This could be a memorable stay with better attention to maintenance, cleanliness and guest comfort. We arrived to find that, despite vehicle access to the rooms, guests couldn't use it. We had to carry about 40 kg of luggage up around 50 steep stairs without staff help, which was a rough welcome after a long trip. Our room didn't quite match the promotional photos, smelled strongly of dust and was only averagely clean. The fridge barely cooled, and the AC struggled in the summer heat. The outdoor jacuzzi was cloudy and smelled unpleasant. At first we were told sunlight had affected the water, though it seemed more like a maintenance problem. After we raised it, staff cleaned and refreshed it, and it was usable and more enjoyable later in our stay. Breakfast fell short of what we expected from a place presenting itself as “luxury.” There wasn't much choice, the eggs were precooked, cold and dry, and fresh eggs couldn't be ordered. Those details matter. The property has potential and we did have some nice moments, but the experience overall disappointed us.
