We had the best time at this beautiful, clean hotel. It was quiet and private, exactly what we needed, and the staff and host were kind and professional. I truly hope I can come back someday.

We had a wonderful stay at Alas. The ocean was right in front of us, and waking to its calming sound and that stunning view was lovely. Our room was cozy too. Special thanks to Nikos, an extraordinary host who helped with everything and made a delicious fresh breakfast each morning.

Waking up to that breathtaking ocean view was wonderful. Our rooms were beautiful and spotless, and Nikos was pleasant and accommodating. He really went above and beyond to make the vacation feel ideal. The hotel is close to the city and next to all the organized beaches on the island. We'll definitely be back. We spent most of our time on the shared roof terrace, which we had to ourselves much of the time. It had private loungers, tables, and chairs. Our spacious top floor suite was tastefully designed, clean, and modern, with large, seriously comfortable beds. We also had an incredible view at the front, and a private balcony at the back looking over the hills. Downstairs, there were sun loungers by the sea, so we could dip in and out of the crystal clear water. It can get choppy on windy days, but when the water is calm it's great for snorkeling. We visited a few well regarded coves elsewhere on the island and actually saw more sea life in Argassi. Alas Beach Lodge was exceptional in every way, and such amazing value that the service and experience felt like they should cost five times as much. The accommodation exceeded our expectations. It's peaceful and beautiful, far enough from the bars and shops for a quiet break, but still walkable to them. Zakynthos is stunning, and Argassi makes a great base for exploring. We didn't need a hire car because it's close to the airport, and you can also rent one in Argassi at a good price. Nikos was the nicest host we could have asked for. He went above and beyond to make the trip enjoyable and relaxing, arranging dinner reservations, trips, and a hire car. His Mojitos were seriously good, better than any we tried in the bars. The lodge is beside some of the best restaurants I've experienced. Dominicale Sea Food Restaurant was outstanding and is well worth trying. We paid for the breakfast option and loved it. If you like a relaxing, healthy breakfast, it's hard to imagine finding better elsewhere. Nikos prepared lots of delicious options with fresh, local produce while we took in the surroundings. He even makes his own olive oil. You can tell he cares about his guests and is passionate about the work. Every precaution was taken during the current pandemic situation too.
