Maria Mare Apart-hotel

Back at Maria mare for the third year in a row. The rooms are good, with a good shower, and there’s a nice pool beside the sea. The pool bar serves great food, and the lovely staff will help with anything.

We loved the pool and pool bar, right on the seafront with a cooling breeze from the sea. It was far too hot inland, so this was a great place to cool down. The staff were lovely, especially 'Aphrodite'.

Dimitra at reception was the person I spoke with most, and she was exceptionally hospitable, friendly, and helpful. She gave me plenty of good advice on places to visit and getting the most out of my time in Zakynthos. Dimitra's two cats were part of the charm too. I loved playing with them and hanging out at reception and on the sun loungers :) The room was simple but comfortable, with a beautiful sea view, and the location was excellent. The pool and the area around it were lovely for relaxing, with a snack bar right beside the sea. For what I paid, this was exceptionally good value for a budget Apart-Hotel. A very positive experience, and you’ll have a nice time here!

Breakfast was delicious, and you can choose what you want the evening before. The hotel has a limited number of rooms, which makes for a quiet setting. It’s in Agassi with direct beach access, and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby, plus a shop just across the street. Doctors, a pharmacy, and a bus stop are close too. The rooms are very basic but clean, with air conditioning and a small balcony. The staff are extremely friendly and always ready to help with questions. A top choice for a Zakynthos vacation!
