Alex and his mom were so kind and ready to help. We stayed for a week in the top-floor studio flat, which was clean and perfectly located for Argostoli. The air conditioning worked perfectly throughout the flat. The stairs were a bit uncomfortable because they were too stretchy, and the mattress wasn’t great. Still, everything else was fine, and I’d stay again if I travel to Kefalonia.

Everything is close by, including bars, restaurants and ferries. The location is great, the hosts were helpful, and I highly recommend it.

They never provide recipes, and there are so many things there that need fixing.

The large, pleasant terrace was the one thing I could praise. The location was the only other positive; otherwise, this was perhaps one of the worst places I’ve stayed in Greece, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. For the price, they could renovate something or replace an item each year, but it looks like nothing has been invested for a decade or more. The hygiene was poor. Everything was dirty: bathroom, room, terrace, kitchen, even the dishes. The studio is on the first floor, and its gallery has a very uncomfortable bed with a bad mattress. When you move around up there, everything creaks as though it could collapse. The narrow, tiny stairs make a nighttime trip to the toilet feel like a feat, and it seems hard to get up and down without injury. The set on the ground floor is falling apart, and the place is so small that two people can barely pass each other. There is a washing machine, but it doesn’t work. An old lady who can barely move maintains the place by herself and only has a few hours to clean everything before the next guests arrive. We felt sorry for her, so we didn’t want to advertise the place. With this accommodation, I’d rather have a worse location and somewhere much better and cleaner.
