The view from the palconi was fantastic, and the accommodation has everything you need. There are loads of cats around. I liked them and gave them snacks in the evenings, so we got along, but if you don’t want them bothering you at night, it’s better not to feed them. It’s a nice walk to the accommodation from the square by the church, where you can leave the car. I’d avoid driving up the narrow streets.

The terrace is wonderful, and although Booking reviews say it’s shared with another apartment, I didn’t see another visitor during our five-day stay. The owner left us a small breakfast for the first day, thanks. The place is in a nice little village near a shop and tavernas, but the road beside the house is very narrow. There’s parking in the middle of the village, about 70m away, and it’s better to leave the car there if you have anything bigger than a Smart or Nissan Micra. It’s a lovely one-room apartment, pretty well equipped, and you can make food and coffee. We didn’t see the owners. I’d rate it either a 5- or a 4 with a big plus. For a longer stay, there’s no washing machine, so you can’t wash clothes. Also, the Cretan abandoned cats are everywhere, at your window and door, day and night, meowing and begging for food. If you want to enjoy lunch or dinner, you’ll have at least 3-4 cats around. We have a cat and like cats, but after a couple of days it was disturbing.
