The owner was really friendly, and the place is lovely and comfortable, right by the beach. There are loads of good restaurants just a 1-10 minute walk away. Get up at least once to catch the sunrise.

Stegna works well if you enjoy walking, with off-road routes reaching Agathi beach to the south and Tsampica beach to the north. The bus stop is just across the road, though the Rhodes town bus only runs once a day. We had a very quiet stay in October, when all the apartments were occupied by mature guests. Alex, who lives on-site and runs Antonios, was friendly and helpful. You can see the sea directly from the apartments, especially the upper-floor ones, and the balconies and terraces get morning sun. Worth getting up early for sunrise. The kitchen is in its own room and has good equipment, including an excellent filter coffee machine.

Breakfast on the upper balcony, with supermarket food and that exceptional view, was a lovely start to the day. These self-catering apartments are close to the beach and well cared for, clean, with a well-equipped kitchen and a functional bathroom. Some of the decor feels a bit dated, but it’s a charming place to stay and I’d highly recommend it.
