Hotel Dimitra Sun

Elena and her family made us feel like part of the family, and that’s the main reason I’d recommend this hotel. They provide a range of services efficiently, and although there’s a pool, I never used it. We found the hotel through Expedia for our holiday in Rhodes, and thought it was excellent value for the price. It’s a family business. I often met Dimitra and Elena, who quickly made us comfortable and spoke with us in Italian. We hadn’t booked a car online, but Elena’s sister has a rent a car called "dimitra cars". They also offer airport transfers for less than the €50 taxi fare. Breakfast is buffet style, with options from sweet to savory and the inevitable Greek yogurt. The hotel is comfortable, the rooms are very clean, and it’s close to the center of Archangelos. I think renting a car is the better option, since getting to the beaches by public transport is difficult.

The rooms are clean, the pool is massive, and it’s great value. This family owned hotel gives you a chance to experience authentic Greek living. The staff were very friendly, kind and helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. I highly recommend it.

The garden is lush and the pool is clear and inviting. Staff are friendly, and the rooms are cleaned daily with the beds made, except on Sunday. It’s a charming little hotel, and for a three star place, this is how it should be done. I’d stay again.

It’s an older hotel, not modern, but it’s clean and well run. You feel like part of the family while you’re here. It’s on the outskirts of Archangelos and run by Eleni and her mother, who handle everything themselves, from the great breakfast and cleaning to check-in, check-out and taxi trips to the beach or airport.
